Movies and Photos from Kuwait

March 16, 2008

We have uploaded some photos of Kuwait and movies directed by some of the students into the hands across the oceans‘ blog.  The photos were taken during the National Day and Independence Day celebrations in February.  Sara Ebrahim supplied the photos.  We have some photos of old Kuwait in the photo section.  The movies are in the movie making section, using Dvolver.

    Dot,

These are great pictures! Do you think you might be able to have students include them in a VoiceThread (or some other application) introducing themselves and Kuwait and then post them in the Student Showcase blog? Whenever you get a chance, of course.

Neat Dvolvers, too. It’s an ideal tool for ESL/EFL.

We are approaching midterm exams and presentations, but will change them to Voice Thread eventually.

Kuwait has always given an image of a dangerous city to the world. However, these photos prove otherwise. Kuwait can actually be an interesting city to visit. Perhaps, through this blog post, the image of Kuwait can change.
